Primitives Publication (“we,” “us”) is an independent technical publisher. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we protect it.

What We Collect

We collect personal information only when you voluntarily provide it or when your browser sends it automatically.

Newsletter subscription. When you subscribe, we collect your email address, and optionally your name and interests. We also store which publications you subscribe to and when you subscribed.

Website analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand which content is useful. This sets cookies that collect anonymized usage data (pages visited, time on site, referral source). We do not use this data to identify you personally.

We do not collect payment information or sensitive personal data. We do not run advertising.

How We Use It

• Email: To send you the publications you subscribed to. Nothing else.
• Analytics: To improve the publication.

Consent

We use double opt-in for newsletter subscriptions. Your subscription is not active until you confirm your email address via the verification link we send. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by contacting us.

You can disable analytics cookies in your browser settings. This will not affect your ability to read articles or manage your subscription.

Data Retention

• Active subscribers: We retain your data for as long as your subscription is active.
• Unsubscribed users: We keep a record that you unsubscribed. Your email is no longer used for any communications.
• Analytics: Governed by Google Analytics default retention settings.

Your Rights

You can:

1. Access the personal information we hold about you
2. Correct inaccurate information
3. Unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email
4. Request deletion of your data

Security

Email identifiers are stored as cryptographic hashes. Tokens are stored only as hashed values, never in plaintext. All data in transit uses TLS encryption.

Third Parties

We use third-party services for hosting, email delivery, and analytics. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We do not share data with advertisers.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page. For significant changes, we will notify active subscribers by email.
